Historically we have specialised in assisting hotels, venues and destinations gain global MICE business from UK and European buyers. However, during the pandemic, we embraced the challenge, and became the Official Partners of 2 or the world leading virtual/hybrid platforms: Intelligo and VII-Events.
We assist them in their business development and support our fellow event organisers as we all adapt to delivering events in different ways Having worked in the sector for over 3 decades we speak with colleagues on a daily basis, to help assist at this challenging time for LIVE Events. Our previous methods of service delivery have been adapted for today’s global situation. As such, we are currently not pro-actively selling destination hotels / venues to UK buyers who are currently struggling to survive the pandemic, however we are educating them in terms of what can be delivered as we return to normality. This involves supporting hotels / venues and helping them plan and position themselves for the new landscape ahead. Stuart has been working with The Manchester Metropolitan University Events Management team. It is such a honour to be supporting the next generation of event professionals.
The Manchester Metropolitan University's event student and professional networking conference “Events Connect” tooks place at the end of November at Manchester Central Convention Complex, who are kindly hosting the event. Now in its 8th year, this event introduces upcoming University talent to us seasoned #eventprof veterans.
For over a decade, Stuart has worked with the Rotary Club and Glastonbury. He has recruited, nurtured and lead an amazing and committed team of volunteer stewards who dedicate their time at Glastonbury Festival. These amazing people ensure that the attending public and artists have a safe and enjoyable time at the festival. They work through the night in one of the most exciting and 'out-there' areas of the festival and deal with everything from the mundane to the wild and outrageous, as you would expect at Glasto. In return, we raise money, through Rotary, for local charities, hospices and charitable organisations. To date we have raised in excess £30,000
Stuart and I worked together several times, the first time was when I worked for the luxury
Palace Lucerne (Leading Hotels of the world) in Switzerland. Thanks to Stuarts pro-active
support, we were able to position our hotel on the UK market. Without his excellent
knowledge, motivation and creative ideas I would not have been that successful in the UK
with our hotel.
